Bell Practice for the summer will be Wednesday mornings at 11:30 am following the Healing Prayer Service at 10 am. Choir practice will resume Thursdays in the fall at 7 pm.

JULY 2026

AUGUST 2026

August 6^th—Thursday, 7:30 am—Sight & Sound trip to see Joshua. Meet at Centennial UM Church.

SEPTEMBER 2026

September 1^st– Preschool Begins!

September 10^th– Thursday, Bell Practice begins at 6:00 pm and Choir practice begins at 7:00 pm.

September 20^th– Vestry meeting following the 9:00 am service.

ATTENTION: The roof installation has been completed. The installation of the new gutters is expected to be completed this week.

If you would like to donate to the “Cover the Roof” campaign, please mail a check to the office or drop it in the offertory at church. Please designate the donation as “Cover the Roof”.

Search Committee Update:

• As St. Peter’s enters this very important stage of our search and discernment, Cn Brad Hinton, shared the following prayer. Please pray for the search committee and vestry as they begin this next step of the journey.

For St. Peter’s: Almighty God, you know the needs of your Church in every place: look graciously upon the people of St. Peter’s and especially their vestry and search committee. Grant them the guidance of your Holy Spirit as they seek a new rector. Give them discernment, wisdom, and confidence in your timing. Guide them as they labor to be faithful in seeking your will. Pour out your spirit upon them to strengthen them for mission. Bless them with mutual trust, respect, courage, and foresight as you shepherd them through this journey. In this and all things may your holy name be praised through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Diocesan News…..

The June outreach was Warriors Helping Warriors (Brian Conley Veterans Resiliency Center) located in Middletown.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the outreach. We collected $750 dollars in donations of items, bus passes and money for the center.

All donations were delivered to the center on Wednesday, July 15th.

We “Thank” everyone who donates to all the outreach opportunities and food pantry over the year. Your generosity is appreciated by the outreach committee and all the various organizations who received the support. 

Game Time

Thanks to everyone who played Have You Seen This? for the month of June! The following people submitted the correct location of the side of the benches in the garden.

 Have You Seen This?-July 2026-

Each month a picture will be selected from around the church (including parish hall and office wing). There is a full color picture placed on the bulletin board across from the kitchen window and one sent in the weekly email. To play all you need to do is look around the building to see if you can locate where the item in the picture is located. If you are playing in person, write down the location and put it in the envelope provided on the bulletin board. If playing online, email the church office at stpeters.smyrna@verizon.net with the location. Everyone who guesses the correct location of the picture will be placed in a drawing at the end of the month for a chance to win a $10 giftcard to Marmy’s (Ice Cream).

Let’s get out and look around to see how beautiful our church is!
